Fishing in Michigan is where my adventure began. The first place I ever fished was at Cedar Lake in Lawton, MI.
My favorite places to fish in my state:
Lake Margrethe, Grayling: This is the lake we have our cabin on and is where I've fished countless hours. I know the lake like the back of my hand and it is where I was able to make great fishing memories with my grandpa.

Higgins Lake: My other grandparents have a cabin on Higgins Lake. It is one of my favorite lakes to fish for several reasons. The first of these is the crystal clear water where you can see as far as 40 feet down on a bright, sunny day. The second reason is how many cool species are found in this lake. Due to the cold, deep (130 feet) water, trout can live in this lake. Higgins is one of very few lakes in the state with Lake Trout, a fish found in the deepest water of the lake. This lake has given my grandpa and I many good memories with big fish the past few years.
Favorite Higgins Lake Catch
Lake Victoria, Laingsburg: We began fishing on Lake Victoria recently and have had some awesome days. I've caught more bass than I can recall. We've caught a lot of bluegill and perch while ice fishing as well. It's a private lake and we bought property there just to be able to use it. It is very nice to have a place close to home where I can have enjoyable days of fishing.
